Welcome to Bunscoil Gleann Sidheáin/Cappoquin Primary School. As stated in our Mission Statement, our school ‘places the child and his/her best interests at the heart of our educational philosophy. In our school we endeavour to create a caring community where management, staff, parents and pupils respect, value and appreciate each other. We actively promote a happy, healthy and stimulating school environment where opportunities are provided for promoting the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the person of the pupil; intellectual, physical, cultural, moral, emotional and spiritual. Every opportunity will be given to enable children to discover their talents and uniqueness and to develop into responsible and caring adults.

Inclusivity underpins everything we do in Cappoquin Primary School with each child, parent and family being valued equally. We always want every child to feel safe, welcome and cared for when they are at school. I joined Bunscoil Gleann Sidheáin in November 2020 and I was very lucky to join such a dedicated and fantastic team of staff. There is always a lovely atmosphere in the school, it is always bright and friendly and this is down to the staff and pupils. The children in Cappoquin Primary School are enthusiastic, friendly and respectful. We have a fantastic school community and every staff member strives to do his/her best for the students they work with.
